Vulcan Aerial Ladders

Features

1. Easier Lever Action Control

The nozzle can be easily and rapidly transferred between the last two sections.

2. Flexible, Protective Tracking

All electric wires are protected by flexible tracking that controls, maintains and eliminates stress on wiring components.

3. Maintenance Made Easy

Even if we put a lot of emphasis on safety and ease of operation, we have not overlooked maintenance. For example, the main bearing bolts can be checked and tightened from the top and the hydraulic tank and filters are positioned for easy access.

As for the control tower on the bearing, it has three doors with removable panels.

4. Precision operations

A highly efficient compensating hydraulic pressure system allows stops and starts without jerking by eliminating sudden movements that might be caused by the operators.

5. Safety First

The main design component of the ladders is safety. They are equipped with a safety guard as well as a non-slip floor and rungs, and are designed to keep the climbing area free of obstructions.

6. Simple and Accurate Controls

The ladder control panel has a loadminder gauge, a 2- or 3-way intercom, a flow meter and other components and controls. Electronically-controlled hydraulic valves ensure steady and precise ladder extension, elevation and rotation. We also have optional controls allowing ladder operation from a distance of over 300 feet.

An optional “Soft Touch” system ensures ultra smooth operation and lets you choose between regular or low speed when the ladder is positioned for particularly challenging maneuvers.

7. Ladders Made to Last

Our ladders have a very efficient structural design and are made from high strength steel. Thanks to their greater durability and rigidity, we can certify them to a height of 109 feet.

8. Versatile Stabilizers

The H-style stabilizers are quick and easy to use. The ladder can be operated on one side only without extending the stabilizers to the other side. A safety device keeps the ladder from turning toward the side where the stabilizers have not been deployed.

9. Plenty of Storage Space

A large number of accessories can be installed on the different sections of the ladder, such as axes, pike poles, portable ladders, stretchers, etc.

10. Tested and Approved for Strength

All ladders have been tested to meet NFPA and ULC standards.
